Job Description Summary:

The House Attendant is responsible to ensure that standards of cleanliness in assigned areas are achieved and maintained on a consistent basis to provide the highest level of guest satisfaction in cleanliness and service, within the established time limitations.

Job Description:

  • Maintain the cleanliness of assigned floors by high dusting of walls, vacuuming, refilling, cleaning and stamping of sand urns.
  • Remove trash and soiled linens from Room Attendant's carts throughout the day.
  • Maintain cleanliness of linen closets in assigned areas, including sweeping and mopping; maintain proper allotment of linens in linen closet.
  • Maintain clean emergency stairways by sweeping, mopping and cleaning stairway areas.
  • Maintain care of equipment and machines.
  • Remove any marks on hallway walls and wallpaper; dust and wash hallway lights and windows.
  • Clean vending machine rooms.
  • Assist other Room Attendants with heavy lifting and trash removal.
  • Ensure that linen closets are stocked with all guest room supplies and collateral.
  • Constant awareness of safety hazards (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons) and report all incidents to Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Follow all training procedures, set forth in the ?Bloodborne Pathogens Program?.
  • Practice safety standards always.
  • Demonstrate ?Be the Difference? attitude with all guests and employees.
  • Remain alert, courteous and helpful with all guests and employees.
  • Essential Functions:

  • Able to mop, sweep, and vacuum.
  • Standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for 8 hours or more.
  • Lift and push 30 pounds or more, with or without assistance.
  • Job Qualifications:

  • Housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to read room numbers, dates and basic instructions.
  • Flexible schedule required.
  • Schedule may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
