Operations ManagerII

JobSummary:Directs and oversees operationalneeds of the Housekeeping Department. Coordinates thetasks of the subordinate Supervisory staff.

Workingas an Operations Manager, you are responsible forassisting senior EVS leaders in directing and overseeing theoperational needs of the Housekeeping Department. Youwill coordinate the tasks of the front-line staff. Youwill serve as a liaison between administration and hospitaldepartments and provide the highest possible level ofservice.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Establishesand annually reviews standards and work procedures for allHousekeeping staff
  • Plans work and staffingschedules and areas of work to ensure adequate services arerendered
  • Assists in the hiring process;interview, hiring and training of newassociates
  • Orients, develops, and supervisesall supervisory/housekeeping staff
  • Conductsregular inspections and makes recommendations to thefacility
  • Monthly reporting of goals,accomplishments, and future plans
  • Staffeducation and training
  • Communication withstaff, administration, and otherdepartments
  • Coordination of outside services(i.e. Pest Control, Window Cleaning, Medical and Solid Waste,Document Destruction, and Recyclingprogram)
  • PreferredQualifications:

  • Fouryear college degree, military experience, or equivalent workexperience required
  • At least one year ofsupervisory experience in housekeeping or service-related fieldwith high customer/client contactrequired
  • Demonstrated progressive growth in thefield of health care housekeeping or facility maintenancepreferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively inwritten format and oral presentations
  • Abilityto multi-task and establish priorities
  • Abilityto maintain organization in a changing and stressfulenvironment
  • Exhibit initiative, responsibility,flexibility, and leadership
  • Possess a thoroughknowledge of contract administration and officeprocedures
  • MilitaryTransferrableSkills:

  • NonCommissioned Officer E4+ with experience in Planning, developingand directing logistics
  • All military brancheswith experience of supervising a group of soldiers of 15 or more
  • Troubleshoots, isolatesand identifies causes of equipmentmalfunction
  • Teaches technical skills to lowergrade soldiers
  • Prepares costs and laborestimates
