Description of Work Central Regional Hospital Where Caring is Contagious! We are currently recruiting for a Housekeeping Supervisor I at Central Regional Hospital (CRH). The Housekeeping Supervisor I is responsible for supervising the daily cleaning routine of 7-12 housekeepers which includes training them in the use of products and the care of equipment.
Assign work areas to housekeepers and fill vacancies when others are absent from work.
Perform daily inspections of assigned areas.
Complete a sanitation checklist weekly on all employees.
Assists in compiling information for writing NCVIP evaluations.
Assist in writing incident reports and conducting disciplinary action interviews.
Request housekeeping stock supplies in writing to the stock clerk.
Keep employees informed as to rules and policies in effect and is responsible for the enforcement of these rules and policies.
Ensure that the hospital is environmentally safe and clean in the assigned areas.
This is a first shift position. Normal working hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with alternating weekends and holidays as scheduled.Flexibility in work schedule is required to meet hospital needs. This positionis considered essential to hospital operations during inclement weather. This is a full-time position and eligible for the full State benefits package including health insurance and retirement.

Ability to comprehend and communicate effectively and follow oral and written instructions in the English language.
Working knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing procedures, cleaning equipment and supplies.
ADA Physical Requirements will be discussed during the interview but include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and to move furniture as necessary.
Management prefers candidates with the following:
Previous work experience in a hospital environment.
Previous supervisory experience.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of experience in the area assigned;
or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Degrees must be from appropriately accredited colleges or universities.
