Hours are 3-11, five days per week and include every other weekend.

Job Summary:

The Housekeeper / Project Worker works with the Director of Environmental Services to ensure timely deep cleaning of all of the common areas, halls, resident rooms, and laundry as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Conducts project cleaning of walls, lights, windows, vents, etc. in common areas including entrance, corridors, stairways and other areas as assigned.
* Performs floor refinishing duties including stripping of floors using proper chemicals and equipment, scraping by hand, rinsing with mop and bucket and applying finish in established manner.
* Cleans, extracts and shampoos carpets using proper chemicals and correct procedures.
* Moves furniture and sets up meeting rooms, resident rooms, and other areas as assigned.
* Follows specific procedure to perform terminal cleaning of resident rooms and prepares rooms for new residents.
* Handles emergency cleaning and upkeep requests.
* Performs cleaning procedures in accordance with facility standards, procedures and policies.
* Observes waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy.
* Is able to follow directions.
* Assists in the proper care and use of housekeeping equipment.
* Identifies and reports any equipment malfunction.
* Reports any observed area in poor repair.
* Respond to all residents, family members, and staff in a courteous, patient, and helpful manner.
* Respect the dignity of each person.


High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience in Housekeeping in health care is preferred.

Ability to use safely and efficiently all equipment related to the care of floors surface to include but not limited to commercial rotory machines, autoscrubbers, vacuums, and floor burnishers.
